Operation Fun with Flatline: Focusing on the average rate of 22 veterans a day that were taking their own lives after coming back from a war zone and dealing with PTSD. Luckily the numbers have decreased some since the study in 2012. Now on to the fun part of this. In remembrance of my 22 years of active military service and some of the AOs that I have been deployed to, I decided to have exercises that started with the first letter of some of my deployment sites.
Guam = 22 single count Groiners with shoulder taps; Crete = 22 Curb Alperts; Spain = 22 Smurf Jacks; Turkey = 22 Travolta Merkins; Egypt = El Capitan down and up a line in a bus lane; Japan = 22 Jumping Spiders; Romania = 22 Rockette Hillbilies; Bulgaria = 22 Burpos; Afghanistan = Apple Turnover down and up the line in a bus lane (Bear Crawl switching to a Crab Crawl). Running a lap around the parking lot after each exercise. The running simulated the flying around the world to each deployment site. With 4 mins to go, we circled up to finish out with Monkey Humpers and American Hammers. Way to go F3 brothers! Great Job!
COT: 6th man was Mall Cop who shared some information about himself. We welcomed Ma Deuce (formerly known as FNG). Prayer request for Ice T’s mother in-law and thankful prayer for the good results on his 2.0. Prayer request for Dump Truck’s M’s granddad and grandma as they deal with sickness and separation due to hospital stays. Closed with a prayer. Then it was coffee time (Thanks Ice T).
