The morning was moist! 77 degrees and 94% humidity. We had a last minute cancellation and Pig Knuckle was like roasted bacon…coming in hot! We ran around the parking lot and did the warm-o-rama by the flag in hopes that he would show. He eventually did and we were glad to have his company.
After the usual suspects for the warm-o-rama (SSH, Toy Soldiers, and Weed Pickers). We moseyed up to the round about where I had some kettle bells stashed and three white boards with instructions. The idea was to do 3o of each exercise on one board then run down the hill two openings and back, then work on the next board and so on. It was a bit more challenging than I had dreamed, so we reduced the sets by 10 after all three boards were done. The exercises are below:
Board 1: Curls, Overhead Press, and Tricep Extensions.
Board 2: High Knees, Star Jumps, Thrusters
Board 3: American Hammers, Leg Lifts, Twisted Mountain Climbers
We ran over on time an got back to the flag about 6:16…ish. We did the name o rama and I was the “six man”.
While we were drinking coffee, Gambler showed up for a cup, since they didn’t have any at the Flying J. We enjoy some great mumblechatter.
I have to say, that I was wiped after this week’s workouts. I came home and took a nap before work. I normally drink decaf coffee and I went to make my own pot of decaf. When I bring coffee to the beat downs I use regular coffee. As I was making my own brew this morning I realized that when I prepped the coffee last night, I just used my normal roast – decaf roast. I am wondering if everyone was dragging this morning. LOL. Sorry guys! Ha! You all enjoyed some decaf coffee with a taste of cinnamon.
