The morning woke me with a jolt!  It was 5 am and I slept past my first snooze alarm.  Would there be enough time for the process to work before I had to leave?   I will keep the results to myself. In the meantime, the coffee was brewing and the morning was chilly – 44 degrees!

I hustled, poured the coffee and turned off my tracking device from my insurance company so I could exceed the speed limit and arrive on time.  I arrived with 2 minutes to spare, but had to layout the Weinke’s to ensure a proper beat down.  I pulled into my spot and exited the car with 15 seconds to spare.  The HIMs were stretching and smiling as they conversed.  Little did they know what was in store…I was a little curious myself.  🙂

We moseyed around the parking lot and cut the loop a little short to make sure we had enough time to get in our miles.  We circled up in front of the coupon area.

Warm -O-Rama

We did the usual suspects – Side Straddle Hops, Weed Pickers, Willie Mays, and Copperhead Merkins.

The Thang!

We counted off by 2’s and the 2’s grabbed a coupon and brought it to the West Corner.  There I revealed that we would be doing 4 Corners.  At each corner there are 4 exercises listed.  You can do them in order or choose the one(s) you want to do.  If you want, you can do the same exercise each time.  It was up to each HIM.  The 1s were tasked with running clockwise and the 2s were to run counter-clockwise.  When a 1 crossed a 2, we did 5 Merkins each time.  The 2s decided to stick together, but the 1s broke into at least 3 groups.  As a result, 2s were doing more merkins than the 1s.  Halfway through, we switched to doing LBCs in place of Merkins.  In the last 5 minutes, we skipped the crossing exercise.

The corners:

Corner 1: Squats, Bobby Hurley’s, Calf Raises, Sumo Squats

Corner 2: Flutter Kicks, Scissor Kicks, Leg Lifts, American Hammers (All were single count)

Corner 3: Merkins, Derkins, Dips, Inclined Merkins (aka Nipple Scraping Merkins)

Corner 4: Curls, Tricep Extensions, Overhead Press and Upright Rows (All with Coupons the 2s so graciously carried to the corner).

COT

We concluded with the traditional COT.  Lizard King was 6 man.  He shared that he is still looking for employment and asked for prayers for wisdom, discernment and favor.  Smithers is moving to Greenville, NC.  We will miss him and prayed for safe travels and peace through the move.  We also prayed for those impacted by Hurricane Ian, including Butterfly’s family.  There was encouragement to reach out to other Pax and stay connected, either through the struggles we face or through the good times to help a brother out.

Coffee was hot on this cold morning and conversation flowed well past 7 am.  It was a great morning.
