The Coffee Preamble

Duggar had prepared well the night before. He set up the board, put it in the car along with the speaker, gloves, coffee thermos, cups, and cards. This was fortunate because he got a later start that intended. Although Waze indicated that he would arrive at the beatdown at 5:29, Duggar gambled (notice the theme) and darted into Race Track. Placing a cup under the machine, “Regular”, “Medium”, “Leave Room For Creamer”, “Start” X 5 cups. Race to the virtual cashier, pay for 1 hot refill ($1.79 with tax), race back to coffee machines, pour 5 cups into thermos and dart back out the door.
Jump back in the truck and screech from the parking lot. Check Waze again. ETA 5:33! Now, to shave off 4 minutes between Race Track and the AO. 65 mph in a 45 mph. Watch out for the tight turns! No slow moving trucks to get caught behind. Speed all the way to the AO. Arrival time? 5:28! Another finely calibrated commute to a morning AO. Duggar for the win!

The Warmup

Take a lap around just the front island of the school and stop at the first entrance. No FNGs meant a limited disclaimer. Duggar mumbled something about not being a professional, as if that was ever in question. He then lead the PAX in 20 SSHs, 10 Hill Billies, 8 Weed Pickers, and 7 Michael Phelps, all in cadence. If the PAX were confused by the dwindling number of reps, or the Michael Phelps in cadence, they hid it well.

The Thang

Duggar provided a deck of playing cards, including 4 jokers, and a board with 13 exercises, one for each card denomination. Each PAX took turns drawing 1 card. The denomination prescribed the exercise, and the suite prescribed the quantity. Hearts 10, Clubs 15, Diamonds 20, and Spades 25. After completing the exercise OYO, the PAX took a lap and then either plank for the 6 or circle back for the 6. Rinse and repeat.

We hit Mike Tysons, Peter Parkers, Star Jumps, and Burpees multiple times. We drew the Jokers a few times. Jokers earned yet another lap. American Hammers and SSHs are the only other exercises that the author can remember at this moment. Could have been more. Definitely were not less.

The final card selected was a Joker, so the PAX gathered up and returned to the flag in time for 20 Flutter Kicks and an unusual number of LBCs before time expired.

PAX covered over 3 miles of distance and a ton of PT. Outstanding effort by all.

COT

Pinto was Six Man. He shared that he is super busy with life and family, but makes F3 a priority for the fitness, the fellowship, and assumes that we all share the same opinions about things. He was discouraged from that thinking and relented into narrowing the topics to fitness, fellowship and faith. #TeamJesus
Duggar asked for support around his Ms knee replacement surgery scheduled for Wednesday.

Naked Moleskin

Questions were asked about Pinto’s presence on Slack. He insisted he was present, but a post beatdown investigation revealed that he was either a liar or mistaken. Use your own judgement of his character to decide which you believe is more likely. Dixie Chick was glad to be back out after a prolonged absence do to traveling and working for the Lord. White Claw showed up and killed it as usual. Hopper was an excellent example of a strong HIM by completing all the exercises and picking up Duggar time and time again. Aisle 7 is the epitome of quiet poise. Just keeps trucking along, not distracted or deterred by anything. Cocktail and Pinto did a great job of mixing up planking for more work and returning for the 6. It was a super great time. Well done PAX!
