I am trying to get more miles in lately, but I embrace throwing around the funbags. There is not many better ways to get both than a Walls of Jericho beatdown incorporating the sandbags. Since it was only the two of us and we were both warmed up from our pre-run and pre-ruck I didn’t see need to spend precious time on a normal warmarama.
You know the drill seven reps of seven exercises and then take a lap. We moseyed with the bags to the lower / back portion of the school. We tossed the funbags down at the cut through that goes under the school and took our first lap and proceeded to do the reps, rinse and repeat.
All exercises were with the funbags. Manmakers, squats, over the shoulders, box Cutters with the bag elevated, skull crushers, lunges and squat thrusters.
After the fourth round and CCSD maintenance crews showing up we decided to take it up to the main parking lot to try and finish the last rounds. We got one more complete round and one more lap in before getting in some Mary. I know this is going to be a surprise (Not really), but Bloodhound is a flutter kick beast. Somewhere around 30 Kodiak count flutter kicks I couldn’t keep up and may have got ten more out of the 20 before stopping. I finished it out with some monkey humpers until 0615.
We skipped biscuits and opted for some coffee at the barrel house. Definitely a healthier choice and my once a week coffee always works as advertised. We chatted for a good while before heading home to shake the kiddos out of bed.
Make an effort to reach out to someone you haven’t talked to in a while.
