When Qing the Happy Jack, one must find balance in the force between throwing heavy bags around and getting some miles. YHC of course always has a well drawn out plan with lots of both. Ok….maybe just the start of a plan….or maybe just the idea.
Anyway 5:30 lets mosey, hey look at that great big ‘Merican flag C4. That was record time. Why not warm up with some Happy Jacks.
Mosey over to the big hill opposite side of the park from Easy Mountain. If this one does not have a name lets call it Rock and Roll. Ok that may not be the best name. At the top drop the sand bags and run back to the bottom to grab a rock. At the bottom with the rock preform 10 reps of rows, curls, and overhead presses. Run to the top to preform 10 burpees with an over the shoulder throw with the bag instead of the jump at the end. Total of three rounds.
Next up, run with the bags over to the picnic tables by the tennis courts and preform 10 reps kodiak count of lunges, step up and then 10 reps of Squats. All with the bag. Crablegs began to talk about how he did leg day at the gym yesterday, so YHC moved on. It had nothing to do with YHC’s legs feeling it and wanting to be able to walk the next day.
Ran over to the road leading up to the skate park. 10 reps with the bag of rows, curls, overhead presses, then run to the end of the hill and do 5 burpees. Total of 3 rounds.
Line up at the newly installed poles for the Christmas Lights. Carry the bag the length of 2 poles and then an exercise. All Qs choice. It included farmer carries, lung walks, squats, merkins, riffle carries, etc.
Finished a little late, hustle back to the flag for name-0-rama and COT.
If you have not had the experience of the Happy Jack, come give it a try and spread the love to an AO near you.
