4:30 run club consisted of Rest Stop, Tallyman, Yogi and Misty, with a no-show (again!) from SallyRide

Short (really short) mosey for the warmup, quick disclaimer for Fudd’s FNG and then some weed pickers, toy soldiers, Rest Stop urinals, sun gods, michael phelps and threw in some side straddle hops for the hell of it.

The Thang:

Going back to the roots of Crossroads with music, 2+ miles and a theme the group was elated to find out that it was Bruno Mars’ 35th birthday. Turned on the tunes and with Bruno urging us on we got to it.

Cones were set up in a straight line in increasing intervals with cards attached with an exercise and number of reps. Get to the first cone do the exercise and then run down to the last light post, correction, down to the stop sign on E. Cherokee to throw in a hill to make this a little more challenging for Tallyman and then back up to the next cone in succession. Here was the layout and let’s see if you can crack the code:

Nobody finished although Tallyman probably would have come close if he didn’t have to wait for YHC to ask what a Uboat was. That being said everyone seemed properly spent after ~2.5 miles.

The group has the FNG, Booger, to thank after he figured out the code to avoid penalty burpees. If you still haven’t figured it out yet maybe the playlist will help?

COT – More celebrations than prayers which is a great thing, Hammock’s son achieving Eagle Scout, Rest Stop coming out from a scary accident to get that new truck he’s been wanting so bad. Praying for Gavin, his family and friends as he is in a medically induced coma.
