13 PAX, including an FNG, gathered at the Etowah High School gym parking lot, we moseyed to the middle school upper parking lot, gave the disclaimer, mission, and core principles, and away we went:
WOR:
SSHx20
Imperial Walkerx10
Weedpickerx5
Sungods OYO
Michael Phelps OYO
Then, we all retrieved a coupon, and the misery started. At least there was music.
Borrowing heavily (okay, outright stealing) from a Doddy Q from March of 2020:
THANG 1: Partner Farmer’s Carry
We partnered up. Using the parking lot island nearest the middle school as our middle, and the stop signs at either end of the parking lot as our ends, we had a makeshift quarter mile (ish) track. Each partner started heading a different direction. One ran, one farmer carried the two coupons. When they crossed paths, the runner became the carrier, and they continued on the paths they were moving. Until each of the partners had carried the coupons five times.
THANG 2: Good ole’ fashioned Dora.
Same partners. Cumulative count. While one of the partners did the following exercises in the middle of the upper parking lot, the other ran down the stairs then back up.
100 Pullovers
150 Deadlifts
200 Bench presss
150 Curls
100 Bent over rows
Most made it to the rows or almost to the rows. We finished a couple minutes late. Thanks to Brother Exile for pointing out that we were about to run long. Start on time, end on time. Ish.
COT:
We welcomed an FNG, who earned the name “Degloved” from a story that apparently he tells quite often about his time as an Air Force mechanic. Now Saluki gets to vomit every time he thinks about it. You’re welcome.
Prayers for spouses of PAX who are recovering from procedures. And for all of those impacted by Russian-Ukranian conflict.
