Whatever happened to warmer weather and springtime? Not today. It was in the low 40’s, but it wasn’t cold for very long. I arrived in time to set up a circle of cones and a tire. I entered the group near the flag with 30 seconds to spare. I really need to leave my house earlier in the morning.
So we moseyed around the parking lot and then did our warm ups. It was the usual suspects. I am not going to list them here as you all know what they are. LOL! I know…”why are you so angry NesQuik?” That’s what you are saying to yourself as you read this. My reply is the same as usual, “I’m not angry.” I guess I need to work on my presentation.
I had, what I thought, was a well planned tabata. But the sounds were all screwed up, the music was too loud and nobody was listening anyway, so I turned the tabata timer off and just did it by myself.
There were 10 cones set up in a circle with exercises on them: American Hammers, Tricep Extensions, KB Swings, Overhead/Shoulder Press, Flutter Kick with Chest Press, Curls, Single Arm Bench Press, Skull Crushers, Single Arm Bent Over Rows, and “The Doddy.” The 11th spot was the tire pull, with your kettle bell in the tire.
When I finally figured everything out, we did two sets of each exercise and rested for 15-20 seconds in between each. Then we moseyed for a bit with some Bernie Sanders, Side Hops down and back. Rinse and repeat.
At the COT, we prayed for Brian (Vanilli’s friend) to get a new liver and for potential pending orders for Sgt. Slaughter. We ended with great conversation around a pot of coffee.
