Despite a gloomy forecast, Pax was treated to a beautiful cool (but dark) morning.

Warm-O-Rama:

Pax moseyed over by the tennis courts to get warmed up.

  • Side Straddle Hops
  • Weed Pickers
  • Abe Vigodas
  • Imperial Walkers
  • Smurf Jacks
  • Sun Gods
  • Michael Phelps

The Thang:

We moseyed through the pitch black woods, but were able to navigate the terror thanks to a functional iPhone.  We made it to our first exercise station unharmed.  The Count had a few counting mis-fires, but Pax was merciful with only minimal mumble chatter.  At this first station, we completed several sequences of exercises:

  • Dips (3 sets)
  • Merkins (3 sets)
  • Flutter Kicks (3 sets)

Fortunately Pax provided heavy count support for this segment of the beatdown so morale remained high, even as the sun stayed low.

Then Pax moseyed to pick up coupons behind the haunted house by the courts.  We partnered up; one partner ran to the top of the parking lot while the other started their share of the following with a coupon:

  • 50 burpees
  • 100 overhead presses
  • 150 curls
  • 200 squats

While Pax waited on everyone to return their cinderblocks, we busted into planks to wait on the six.  Those planks soon morphed into something resembling Sun Salutations and Downward Dog.  But not sure that anyone would say what they observed was actually proper form yoga.

Trill then led us through the woods to the basketball courts.  There we partnered up again to run the length of the court while the other partner started their share of the following:

  • 100 merkins
  • 200 LBCs
  • 100 squats

We then partner carried back to the flag where Bagger leaned on his track coach experience to put Pax through a series of stretching motions as a cool down.  Silverado would have been proud.

Circle of Trust:

We closed with a Circle of Trust where we gave thanks for the morning and recognized the HIMs among us who were serving both their families and those outside their families so well (Narco and Nesquik).

Chatterbox is always a great way to start a Saturday; great HIMs and even better mumble chatter.
