Intro: Got right to it!
Warm-o-Rama: Ready…Set…Go!
The Thang: From Canyons, southbound on Main Street. Turn Right on Dupree Road. The hill coming up Dupree was slight but continual. Follow until Stone Bridge Parkway all the way to Towne Lake. YHC was getting a bit winded and leg weary from his yesterday run, but thankfully Trill would not leave any man behind and paced me back up to Mouth-2-Mouth and Doddy. Took a right on Towne Lake. Left on Circle 575, quick right onto Sherwood Drive, another quick right on Little John Ln, quick left on Robinhood Dr, and quick right on Rusk St all the way to Main Street. And if you thought Dupree’s hill was neverending, this one certainly felt like it. Right on Main and back to Canyons. Still had about 12 minutes left, so two quick runs near the flag. Pass Canyons on the left, Left on Fowler, down around Hubbard, and back up Wheeler St. On the second time around, Exile and Spaceballs saw YHC on a slight mosey (walking) and encouraged me: “A slow run is still a run!” Coming back to the flag to finish at approx 4.5 miles.
COT: Go Daddy’s friend is having some health challenges with his daughter, as they prepare to move overseas in the mission field. Doddy’s mother is out of ICU and continuing to deal with congestive heart failure. Exile’s dad shows evidence of previous stroke with some pain and loss of feeling in face and arms.
Naked Man Moleskin: I used to be embarrassed in being the 6. But you know what, I take it as a badge of honor. I know I am getting stronger, so I know they are too. From the 6 you get the best encouragement. You see what is up ahead and are pushed to make up the ground, but you also fight to make sure you aren’t left off the back, so you take the gears up a notch. Being the 6, to me is the spot that you grow the most from.
