The BackBlast:

Intro:

Growing up in NE Pennsylvania, YHC was a big fan of Dr J.   Who wouldn’t be?   Well, move over, Dr.  we’ve got a new fave in town by the name of Dr. W.

Warm-o-Rama:

Short mosey around the parking lot, and circled up for 20 SSH, 10 Windmills, OYO Michael Phelps and Sun Gods.   Mosey to the back of the school.

The Thang:

YHC thought we’d do a little Dora in honor of Monday morning.  Monday has been long considered the BEST first day of the week so a little challenge goes a long way.

Our Dora consisted of:

100 Dr. W’s   (if you’re not sure what they are, check out the exercise tab on F3Nation!).

200 Imperial Stormkickers (with squats)

300 Shoulder Taps

While PAX A was performing the exercise, PAX B ran the stairs on both sides of the little turn-around, performing 10 SSHs at the top of each (a bit like Rocky in the original).

After finishing the Dora, which took a bit longer than expected, we all lined up for a Walk Like an Egyptian lunge-line.  It was fun.  It was cooridnation-challenging, and ended way too soon.  😉

Run back to the flag just in time to finish, leaving only the Burpo’s on the Board of Pain.  We’ll have to just keep them on the back-burner for the next BD.

COT:

Prayers for Woody’s son who is struggling a bit with math in school (Doubtfire kindly offered up one of his brilliant sons to tutor him),  Promise Ring’s results from his Nursing Entrance exam and for Doubtfire’s twins as they are off to Berry College to experience a bit of ‘college life’.   We also discussed upcoming ManCamp (Donner Party expressed interest in going, but we all kind of discussed to we really want to go to a remote camping site with someone named Donner Party???  Jury’s still out.) as well as Gepetto’s 5K and the F3 Cobb one-year anniversary convergence on Saturday.

Naked Man Moleskin:

Bloomer.  The man amazes me each week.  He CRUSHED the Dr. W’s with near perfect form.  Nice!   Of course Promise Ring and Woody were battling it out for the fastest human, Zillow plugged away just so he could finish the BD and share statistics about the Black Plague, Doubtfire kept questioning YHC (rightfully so) about doing the correct number of stair runs.   Tie Dye and Donner Party were rock solid on their triumpant returns to the gloom.  So happy to see them both!  Orvis (who probably should have been named Ninja) shows  up, lines up and puts up the work.  Solid.   With this morning’s BD, we’ve already got this week licked!
