In the dark forest of Barnett Park, 3 men ran and 1 rucked. E-Tool brought a handheld flashlight in addition to his headlamp to create different light angles for better depth perception of shadows. Considering he didn’t fall once at Barnett Park, I consider that a win. Shoutout to all the pax who fall on trail runs: Get a handheld flashlight to carry with you. Lt. Dan tried out his new “DanForce” headlamp and lit the pathway for all to see. If only he had an extra “head” lamp shining from his waist like E-Tool to have double the lumens. No wonder Catalina likes to hold a handheld with him on his runs. ????

Lt. Dan led the pax through Barnett Park with only a few wrong turns and corrections. We ran up the Trench for the Strava segment and followed the trail back to Field’s Landing before turning around and heading back. The runners got about 5 miles and Copper got over 4 miles rucking. ????
