This BD was in tribute to Amy Daugherty. Her memorial service was last night, and based on that experience, and the fact that Smurfette (fantastic job of leading the service BTW) pretty much HC’d to the BD, YHC did a complete 180 on the planned route.
During the service, Smurfette mentioned that Amy had some simple principles that she lived by:
Give
Serve
Love
With that in mind, we headed north on Main Street, left on Riverwalk, and to Mt. Killamylunga.
We ran the hill three times to honor her principles, and then we all gave max effort on the 4th one to honor her ascension to heaven. After that, we ran the perimeter of the church parking lot and back to the flag.

Honored that Smurfette flew down from Louisville for Amy’s service and posted at the V. Honored to be a part of a group of men like this. Honored to lead these men this morning. And honored to have known Amy Daugherty.
