The BackBlast:

Intro:  Can we make it to the post office in time and send our ‘package’ on it’s way?

Warm-o-Rama:  It’s 5am.  Put the ruck on your back and walk briskly forward.

The Thang: We have limited time to make it to the post office and drop off our package!  Departing from AO, we headed down Main towards 92.  Detoured through Sam’s club to shave a few seconds and resumed trek down 92 towards Noonday creek trail.

Once every 10 minutes(-ish) the package (40lb sand bag) was rotated among the Pax.  Noting the time, we decided to drop the package off at the nearby Fedex office and skip the actual USPS.

With a semi-accurate reference to the cost of a Forever stamp ($0.55), we did 55 ruck on squats followed by 55 ruck on merkins shared by the group.  (Each Pax performed a merkin, then resumed planking position until it was his time to do another merkin.)

With the postage paid, we attempted to deliver the package, but the office was still closed.  We loaded up and headed down Noonday creek trail, which was surprisingly not completely underwater.

Over the course of these 3.63 miles (or 7.9 miles on Apple time), great conversation was had as we encouraged one another to keep on pace.

COT: 6th man Chops shared what F3 has done and continues to do for him and it goes way beyond 1st F.  Prayers for our new human creators (and the new humans created):  Ann Arbor and M, BandCamp and M and Spock and M.  Prayers for patience in our homes, unspoken needs and for Foosball’s M (and her family).

Naked Man Moleskin:  Chops shared some great wisdom during COT.  For many of us, the larger reason F3 is so important in our lives may not be 1st F.  For many of us it is 2nd F and 3rd F.  (And coffeteria, of course.)

Let’s continue to support fellow HIMs by encouraging each other to do our best.  That doesn’t mean being first, the fastest or the strongest.  It’s our individual best.  TBYC.
