Intro:
Merkins can get boring, but we had a ball!
Warm-o-Rama:
Mosied East for a meandering stroll before returning to the AO for some garbled instructions from YHC (words are hard) translated to english by Garfield > Side Straddle Hops and Weedpickers.
The Thang:
Now that we'd mosied, hopped and stretched. We mosied some more, making our way West to the SW corner of the AO property. After some Merkins and Imperial walkers – PAX partnered up in pairs for Merkins > backward running sprints > bropee. Return to Merkins to wash, rinse, repeat adding a bropee each round until the bropee count hits 5. (That's 65 quick Merkins each working in pairs if you include the bropees in the total count.) We celebrated with Flutter Kicks and Dying Cockroaches til the 6 got in.
A coupon (12lb ball) magically appeared in a nearby shrub!
PAX then mosied indian file passing the coupon over-head to the pax behind until it reached the 6, who would hustle it to the front of the pack and start the passing all over again. This continued til we found a nice level spot to stop and Merkin IC some more (what luck!!!) Pretty sure we knocked out some LBC's here as well, but it's a bit of a blur.
Wouldn't you know it we mosied out again indian file, passing the coupon back with increasing toss elevation as we went, until reaching our next destination where pax lunged ~30 yards and found a nice spot for a game of hot potato.
Circling up tight, feet out, pax flutter kicked continuously passing the coupon for a few rotations around the group before switching to Big Boy Sit-ups IC passing the coupon to the next PAX after each rep. Then, when offered the relief of a few stock Merkins the bloodthirsty warriors of the Paragon insisted the coupon stay and play and the count climb high. YHC complied, naturally (people pleaser, ya know). Pax executed 4-count Merkins in cadence as a group. Each got a turn with the coupon to hold under each hand once for his 4 count Merkin before passing to his neighbor. Full circle completed. Pain is weakness leaving the body.
Then we mosied back to the AO for some OYO double-merkin burpees > running the hill > Merkins at the top adding to count each rep. Because 'Merica. And, with a little time left for fun ran the clock down with a set of modified box-cutter style leg lifts.
2.12 miles of travel and 120-150 Merkins.
COT:
FNG earns himself the name Pounder.
PAX encouraged to reach out to Hooch for details on upcoming Service Project.
Sharing of some PAX in the area who's are M's are fighting cancer. Prayers for health, for strength for families, gratitude for the community of support found in F3.
Naked Man Moleskin:
Couldn't have asked for a better group of PAX for my VQ. These men worked hard, sweat hard, supported YHC through some clumsy instructions and all around had a great beatdown with plenty of good mumble chatter. We learned a lot about Duggar. And his mom. That was weird.
Red Hat brought along our FNG who looked strong for the duration of the beatdown!
Grylls is back in the saddle and Wingman is recovering well from back troubles. VERY GOOD to have both in the beatdown this morning and grateful for their health!
