The BackBlast:

Intro:

The ride in this AM started to look not so nice.  But as I pulled in the parking lot the rain slowed down to just a few drops here and there.  A good Q never has the full thing planned out until the morning of, right?  So, as QiC chatted with the PAX, my mind was still building out what we were going to do. But the clock struck and it was time to go. So…we mosy’ed.

Warm-o-Rama:

We mosy’ed around the parking lot one good time and came right back to the flag to circle up for the warm up.  True Ricky Bobby fashion, I like to suprise in the warm up and use a few that don’t get used often.

The Thang:

Ricky Bobby doesn’t race no sprint track or drag cars.  Ricky Bobby is in for the long haul, the endurance.  All about how long you can last and still come in first.  Cause…..”If you ain’t first, you’re last!”

Started off the murnin’ with a long drive down Route 66.  QiC chose 11 light poles on the way to the back of the school where we stopped and did 1 burpee, increasing at each light pole to equal 66 burpees.  At one point I heard “Somebody must have pissed of Ricky Bobby”.  Nah, just getting the tires warmed up.

The rain began to pick up and since Ricky Bobby does have a heart, he huddled the pax under the covered walkway for a little muscle endurance.  To do this, he brought in his favorite pit crew member, Sally.  Like a jack on a car, what comes up, must come down.  So to the song ‘Bring Sally Up’ we performed the following exercises.

Merkins
Alternating Lunges
V-Ups
Dips
Squats

Your boy Tebow likes to run in the rain, so we mosey’d around the dark black part of the school to the sidewalk behind the trailers.  (Never used that spot before, so why not)

QiC instructed the Pax on what a Captain Thercan was.  1:4 ratio workout where the 1 is a merkin and the 4 count is an American Hammer. Pax went to 10 on the Merkins and 40 on the Hammers.  Ended right on time, so we took a nice slow mosey back to the flag for COT.

Continued prayers for the Pruitt family after loss.
Reminder and prayers for Geppetto’s 5k this weekend to benefit the adoption process.

Naked Man Moleskin:

Even with not understanding all of the way life goes at times, definitely in the times of loss like the Pruitts are currently experience.  Our crazy humbling Cuban reminded us this AM that death is not the end.  There is much more to our lives, after we are done here on earth.  Good words my friend, good words.
