YHC grabbed a rare opportunity to Q at The Forge when the King of all Lizards posted on Slack that they needed one this week.

Warmarama- we moseyed around the parking lot, about 1/4 mile. Some SSH, Imperial Walkers, Weed Pickers, Merkins, Flutter Kicks…

The THANG- I had three “Elevens” routines picked out. We started with Manmakers and Big Boy Situps, of course using our kettlebells. I threw in a twist- 10 kettlebell swings to start each round.

Then,  10 Manmakers at the bottom of the stairs adjacent to the parking lot and 1 BBS at the top of the stairs. And then 9/2, 8/3, etc with the 10 KB swings starting each new set.

The PAX ground out their sets in workmanlike fashion. Saluki ran up and down the stairs in between his sets while rifle carrying his KB. Most of us mere mortals farmer carried ours during movements.

The PAX that finished early did some bonus exercises with their KBs while waiting on the six. After YHC finished he and some others picked up the six, working with them while they finished up.

That pretty much took the whole time. I’ll save the other routines for a future Q.

Note: when you’re playing music for Saluki make sure to include Brass Monkey by the Beastie Boys.

In the CoT we mentioned and prayed for Gut Check’s friend who recently lost his mom to a drug overdose. We also prayed for Lizard King’s M who had a medical decision to make about her knee.

NMM-It was a tough workout (to me anyway) and it’s always an honor to lead the HIM of F3 Cherokee!
