5:30 start with a mosey around a short circle back to the starting point. Warm up with week pickers, goof balls, imperial walkers, sun gods and michael phelps.

Split the PAX into 2 groups, team red and team blue, led by experienced Crossroaders and explained the plan for the morning.

2 cards (1 red, 1 blue) were placed at frequently visited spots across the AO. Exercises were dependent on the suit and number of reps were the number on the card (Aces 14, not 1).

Diamonds=burpees

Hearts=merkins

Clubs=crunchy frogs

Spade=star jumps

Jokers=wild card

Whoever found the most cards and make it back to the start on time wins a prize.

Team red led by Carmen Sandiego found all of theirs first and circled back around to help clueless team blue, led by Yogi, out. All cards were found with the jokers being last.

It being April Fool’s day the groups didn’t take long to pick up on the fact that all the cards were diamonds, so it was a day full of burpees. And on top of that, the joker card was a round of Chumbaburpee. Tubthumper with a burpee everytime they say “get knocked down” with side straddle hops continuous between the burpees. With a little time left we finished out with some ring of fire crunchy frogs and merkins.

Fun times and team red was excited to hear their prize was a free entry onto a 4-man Ragnar team. Seeing as how they have yet to claim it the first person that reaches out can claim it on their behalf, no joke!
