I was actually early today and it seemed that I may be back on my rhythm.  I was excited to be back at the Vineyard as it seems I have been gone for too long!  Stinky Pete was there in the parking lot when I arrived.  He and I took a loop around the parking lot before everyone else got there.  And of course, I forgot my speaker, so Lizard King came through for us again.

At 0530 we began our mosey around the parking lot again.  We settled in a circle at the band banners and did our warm up: SSH, Imperial Walkers, Hillbillies, Weed Pickers, Sun Gods and Michael Phelps.  When we were done I “tried” to explain the workout.  Apparently, I didn’t do a good enough job with that, because a number of PAX were asking, “how many of these do we do?”  So I tried to fix that during our exercise. My attempt was to make an M, but it looked more like an arrow… oh well.  In my mind, everything was better.

We did M.O.F.O.S.

At the banners, we ran out to the the left to the far island where we did 15 Merkins. We ran back to the banners.

At the banners, we did 20 Overhead Presses with a coupon, a manly cinder block and an average cinder block.  No one chose the kiddie cinder block that I am aware of.

Then we ran straight out to the wall where we did 25 Flutter Kicks (2 count). We ran back to the banners.

At the banners, we did 20 Overhead Presses with a coupon.

Then we ran out to the right, to the edge of the gym entrance, and did only 15 Squats.  At least that’s what my board said. Some did more.  Hopefully, none did less.

Then we ran back and out again to do our Merkins.  We did this 3 times.

Then we did a Ring of Fire, where we held a plank and each man took turns doing Merkins – 5…then 4…then 3… then 2… then 1.  It was like a Merkin wave.

Our finale was supposed to be 1 x 10’s, but I only put the cones 5 yards apart, so it was 1 x 5’s.  🙂  We started at the starting line and did 10 burpees and 1 mountain climbers.  This was 11’s but we did the exercises together.  Then we sprinted or ran or jogged to the last cone that I set up and ran back.  We took a 10 count after the six arrived.  We did this until we finished 1 burpee and 10 mountain climbers.  Mouth-to-Mouth was kind enough to pick up the cones as we moved the starting line forward 5 yards each time.  He also cleaned up the coupons we all left out… a true HIM.

We ended in a COT where Honeypot was the six man and told us he still isn’t sleeping through the night.  His 7 month old is struggling with finding his rhythm of sleep.  We pray that he will learn to sleep like our teenagers do…sooner rather than later.
