It was the best of times, it was the worst of times….or something like that. This workout had something for everything.

You want to run up the hill — done

You want partner workout — done

You want to play Rock Paper Scissors burpee – check

You want upwards of 3 nautical Garmin miles — I got you

You want to almost die — boy do I have just the thing…

Warm-O-Rama:

The grumbling started as soon as we took off and was only squelched by the intensity of the Q haha. Moseyed to the base of the Grapes of Wrath hill and did SSHs / Weed Pickers / Hillbillies / Sun Gods + Phelps.

The Thang:

YHC gave a long diatribe about randomly searching old Vineyard Backblasts and stumbling across the very first launch workout plan orchestrated by Westside and how the first segment was inspired by that–2 mins in an M2M informs me he was there, this was not in fact the “hill” mentioned, and I need to give up searching through old backblasts as there are too many tough workouts living there…you win some you lose some but everyone was pretty tired by the end of this one.

Segment 1 = 11s up and down Grapes of Wrath w/ merkins and squats

Segment 2 = moseyed over to the front parking lot of the high school and partnered up. 1 partner runs in one direction, the other partner runs  the opposite direct, every time you cross do 1 BBS – increased by 1 until we hit 10

(this was about the time my internet privileges were revoked)

Segment 3 = Rock / Paper / Scissors / Burpee – Pax moseyed in one group along the backstretch. Two PAX step up and call an exercise. All PAX in the group + the winner do called exercise. Loser does 5 burpees. We exercise until burpees are done. Rinse repeat. Filing this one away for use again at a later date.

Total Milage = 3.3 Garmin miles

COT:

Prayers for several extended family situations and the holidays coming up. Great reflection by GoDaddy on taking time to remember what Easter is about. Encouragement for Chevy as he shared is wanting to get in better running shape for upcoming events this year!

Great group of guys that put up with me putting them through it today.
