2/9/23 Radio Silence – Pick up Sticks

Q:  Paper Jam

PAX: Nano, P-Body, Short Circuit, The Count, Small World, Choir Boy, Couch Potato, Sooorie, Paper Jam and Pigpen (from NOGA)

Warm-o-Rama

Started with a short mosey around the first 2 tennis courts and back to the flag.  We then unloaded the coupons for the day and carried them down to the football field.  Once on the football field we performed a warmup consisting of SSHs, Weed pickers, Tumbleweeds, Toy Soldiers, Sun gods, Michael Phelps

The Thang:

The ‘sticks’ today consisted of several good sized logs from Paper Jam’s back yard tree cutting adventures.

Divided up into 2 man teams.  While one PAX carried a coupon to midfield and back, the other did burpees.  When both had completed the coupon carry, they ran the length of the field, and then returned to half field for the ‘partner carry’.  Then they either

• Together carried a coupon (heavier than single PAX carry coupons) to the end of the field and back to the middle or
• took turns flipping the log to the end of the field and back while the other PAX did lunges

Then both jogged back to the start.  Washed, rinsed and repeated 4 times.

After that was going to head back to the flag, but someone (Sooorie, not to mention any names 🙂 ) whined about  about not wanting to get swamp butt from laying in the field so I decided we’d stay there.  Did some core work including  Crunchy Frogs, Flutter kicks, Box Cutters, American Hammers, BBSs, LBCs, and finally Imperial Walkers. We then grabbed all the coupons, carried them up the hill, and loaded them back into my truck.

Many comments and much chatter occurred concerning size references and innuendos regarding today’s coupons (aka big logs).

Then most of us headed for the Waffleteria (aka Waffle House), which replaces site coffee on the 2nd Thurs of every month
