The BackBlast:

Intro:

Follow the pineapple trail

Warm-o-Rama:

Nobody warms up for a 7 mile run.  A quick circle up for any questions about the route.  Explained that directional signs were placed along the route and should be identifiable given the pineapple located at the top of each one.  YHC wanted to add a special pineapple at the turnaround point and the incentive that YHC would purchase the PAX’s breakfast who brought it back.

The Thang:

From Waffle House on Sixes Road proceed into Bridgemill main entrance, turn right and start running.  Directional signs were located along the 5 turns with wonderfully bright pineapples on top for easy identification.  Total mileage was at 7.4 miles with a porta potty located close to the 3.0 mile marker (which was heavily used).  This was a quick in and out route with many rolling hills that provided good chatter along the way.

COT:

Prayers for family, friends and the many ailments that we all have to overcome both short and long term whether it be physical (feet, knees, backs, shoulders), mental and/or spiritual.

Naked Man Moleskin:

This was a route that was put together to be simple, yet effective.  Many hills with pineapple locators and a “pit stop” along the route kept fartsacking to a minimum.  The PAX never fails to impress with a strong showing today.  Some even went the “extra mile” getting lost and running by LC’s house for an impressive Ring photo from what I hear.

Exile:  Just cannot slow him down.  One of the few who not only accelerates on the downhill, but accelerates on the uphill.  Kept up in check not only on time to start, but also the correct number of steps per minute for long distance.

Turtlehead:  He was right there with Exile the whole way and killed it.  Even brought back the pineapple for the Waffle House special.  Talked to Exile the whole way too.  Unfortunately, it was the ear that Exile couldn’t hear out of due to ear infection.

Maaco:  Cannot say anything, but gazelle for you brother.  Hills, no hills, doesn’t matter.  You run through like its all a flat road course.

Trill:  Told us earlier that the farthest he ever ran was 6.2 miles so crushed this PR today with over 7 and made it look easy.  You’re going to have to quit the 5 and 10k and work on that half marathon.

Scamper:  Even when hurt, he is still putting the miles in like it’s a warm up jog.  He’s also the one would turned the signs around as a “courtesy” to others.

Lucky Charms:  Always enjoy running with you and the chatter as we ponder life.  You were quick in the beginning and got even quicker after that “pit” stop.

Geek Squad:  Decided to give running a “rest” today and instead pulled out the ruck sack for a quick pace through the neighborhood.  Get that knee healed up.

Bengay:  Good to get you out there and work on getting that knee healed as well.  Appreciate the lead in prayer.

The picture says it all about Redline.  This AO is not just about a run, but more about the fellowship that is the reward in the end.
