AO: Happy Jack
When: 12/10/2020
PAX:
Number of Pax: 5
Pax Names: Babyface, C4, Cricket, Yogi,
Number of FNGS: 0
FNG Names:
QIC: White Claw
Pre-amble:
Yogi and White Claw for a pre-run around the track. YHC was a few minutes late but ran into Yogi and his headlamp on the track.
WOR:
Picked up the bags and headed to the field for some SSH, Weedpickers, Windmills, and Mtn Climbers. In hindsight probably could’ve worked in some more upper body warmups for what was in store but that’s why its called hindsight.
The Thang:
PAX lined up at the goal line for some 1st and 10 (another form of 11’s on a football field). Rifle carry sandbag to the 10 for 10 Merkins and 1 Man Maker then run to the goal line and back. Rifle carry sandbag to the 20 for 9 Merkins and 2 Man Makers then run to the goal line and back. Keep going decreasing Merkins and increasing Man Makers every 10 yards. Took a hot lap to loosen the shoulders up.
PAX lined up at the goal line again for Escalating Burpee Dan’s with a modifier of Man Makers instead of Burpees. This routine escalates with a 1:4 ratio so start with 1 Man Maker : 4 count Lunge, 2 Man Makers : 8 count Lunge, 3:12 (you get it) all the way to the other end. Depending on your Lunge stride the Man Maker count to the other end was 6-8.
Still plenty of time to partner up for a short Dora 1-2-3. Combined Counts were 50 WWI Situps, 100 Hand Release Merkins, and 150 Jump Squats. Partner A would do exercises at the goal line while Partner B would farmer carry 2 bags to the 50 and back then flapjack. YHC heard some mumblechatter about not enough shoulders exercises and knew the work here was done. Just enough time for some Crunchy Frogs, American Hammers, and Dying Cockroaches at the flag before time was called.
COT:
– A lot of CSAUP events this month so check slack.
– Yogi is friends with a married couple no kids looking for a short term living option while they find something permanent. DM Yogi on slack.
Naked Man Moleskin:
Always a pleasure to lead. Happy to have moved to Cherokee, meet some unbelievable PAX, and participate in the wide array of AO’s. A lot of good things going on and I admire all of the HIMs putting in all the community service time. Really an unbelievable region that pulls together. Thankful I have been welcome with open arms and glad to be apart of it.
