As of this past Tuesday, my M and I have been married for 25 years!  Hats off and congratulations to any and all PAX who’ve celebrated a recent marriage anniversary!

Prerun:
1.9 mile trail run led by Hustler, including PJ, CP, Lt. Dan, and The Count — good job on not getting us lost, Hustler!

Warm-O-Rama:

PAX had been asked to bring 2 canned goods, but only a few brought, so we had to improvise a bit with some water bottles and cans of soda.

Mosey around the park with a can or bottle of water in each hand

  • 25 star jumps in cadence
  • 25 hand-release merkins in cadence
  • weed pickers
  • Michael Phelps (horizontal and vertical) OYO

The Thang:

part 1:

Divided into 2 teams on basketball court.  1 person from each team on either goal attempts to make 5 points (free throws are 1, 3-pointers are 2) while the remaining people on both teams perform AMRAP of given exercise.  First one to 5 points hits the bell at center court and wins the round.  Losing team runs length of field, does 5 burpees, and Bernie Sanders back.  Winning team does various exercises.

  • Round 1: shoulder presses with can/bottle in each hand
  • Round 2: lateral raises with can/bottle in each hand
  • Round 3: front raises with can/bottle in each hand
  • Round 4: shoulder taps
  • Round 5: Carolina dry docks

As “luck” (or skill) would have it, the same team won all 5 rounds.  To be “fair”, for 2 of the rounds, BOTH teams ran the field and did burpees.  During the other 3 rounds, winning team stayed on the court and did merkins, imperial walkers, LBCs, big boys, etc. (or just trashed talked) until the losing team got back.

5 round x 5 points each round = 25 (yeah, Baby!)

part 2:

Mosey to playground.  1 person from each team runs a lap around the closest tennis court while remaining team members do circuit of 10 pull-ups, 25 tricep kick backs (with cans/bottles), and 25 curls (with cans/bottles).  The goal was for each team to get 25 total laps.  I think we got about 17 and then ran out of time, but PAX had fun trying to catch the person from opposite team during the runs.

Mosey back to flag for COT.
Announcements included 1-year anniversay at Armory tomorrow, 1-year anniversary at Radio Silence next week, and 3rd F breakfast at end of the month.
Prayers for PJ (shrinkage), Piano Man (eye surgery on Tuesday) and Tool Time (prostate surgery on Thursday).
Thanks to Hustler for bringing coffee.
