Have you ever been driving on Hwy 92 between Woodstock and the Cobb County line and looked over to see all the cell and radio towers and thought, “I wonder if I can ruck up there?” Well I did, and we got part of the way there this morning.
Started at Mountain View UMC (Hooch’s stomping grounds) and headed southeast on Jamerson. Took a left on Wigley and a quick right into the Summit neighborhood. Turtle soup anyone? Right as you enter this neighborhood, you begin the ascent. 2nd tallest peak in Metro-Atlanta. The tallest in walking distance on Cherokee if you don’t want to go into the sticks past Waleska. Anyway, we went as far as the law allows and turned back down. YHC was the 6 on the way up. We retraced our steps and passed Mtn View to turn left on Trickum for a bit before returning to STARTEX.
It was a good morning with some great PAX.
A couple of new faces for me in Blue Cheese and Bail Bond.
We ended with COT and prayed for Gut Check and the stress that band dad life is providing, BrainFart and his family, a sibling group of 11 kids who came into foster care last night, and praised God for a successful procedure for Blue Cheese’s dad-in-law.
