The Thang:

PAX moseyed promptly at 5:30 A.M. and made their way to the HOD.  THE HILL OF DEATH.  And yes, it is AS scary as it sounds.  Imagine climbing a hill so steep and long that a) it goes just shy of heaven and b) its so steep, you can practically lick the asphalt in front of you.  Scary stuff, but we were brave and PAX accepted the challenge with little whining.  Gazelles were instructed to reach their 1st milestone, hold plank and do 1 Merkin every 15 seconds (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH “MERKIN”) and continue until the 6th man is in…followed by two more waypoints/milestones until we made the journey home along Main Street.

Special mention: Kudos to @Macintosh, @P-body and @Monet for their extra credit by rucking halfway around the loop while waiting for the rest of the PAX to unite under the Gazebo.

While waiting on the over-achievers, Charmin called 9-1-1 and spoke to the Operator…she was lovely.

Various 5-k’s were mentioned along with @Exile’s Birthday run, but looking at this group, its unlikely attendance will include today’s PAX.  Also, @Charmin has the Q at THE WOODSHED.
