The morning was dark! It was relatively warm and there were three of us that gathered at the Vineyard. We didn’t need any stinkin’ badges! We were ready for the beat down.
We moseyed around the parking lot and back over to the place we hide the coupons for our Warm-o-rama! We had the usual suspects for the warm up: Side-Straddle Hops, Weed Pickers, Sun Gods and Michael Phelps. The warm up was short as we were all excited to jump in.
The Thang!
We did B.O.M.B.S. for our exercise. We took turns running across the parking lot to the storage units opposite us while the two guys left behind worked through their exercises.
B: The first B was for Berkins. This is where you line up two cinder blocks and do your merkins with your hands on each one, going as low as possible. We each did 40 of these.
O: Overhead press with the coupon. We each did 50 of these, while one of us was running across the parking lot.
Sun of a motherless goat!
M: Regular old Merkins (‘Mer’cans). We each did 50 of these, while one of us was running across the parking lot.
B: Big Boy Sit Ups. We each did 50 of these, while one of us was running across the parking lot. However, we held the coupon to our chest while we were doing these.
S: Scissor Kicks. These are like flutter kicks, except your legs go parallel to the ground. These were done in a 4 count and we each did 50 of these while one of us ran across the parking lot.
Finally, we finished off with some Mary – focused on our abs: American Hammers, Flutter Kicks and then… Time!
Moleskin:
I have learned over the past couple of weeks, with only 3 of us showing up, that it is not really about the quantity of guys that show up, it is about being faithful with what you have (whether a few or many), being consistent and enjoying the fellowship. Both of these weeks have been great to get to know guys better and connect. Be faithful with little and God will take care of the rest.
