Today we celebrated the 3rd Anniversary of The Vineyard!  It was great to share the Q today with the former founding fathers of this AO, Westside, Mouth-2-Mouth and BoSox!  I am thankful to them for leading the way and building a great legacy.

Warm-O-Rama

This was one of the quickest warm ups that was actually done.  We did SSH and Merkins.  Then we got to it!

The Thang!

Mouth-2-Mouth lead the first leg of the Q.  We started with the blue lines on the parking lot.  We began with 11’s at the far end.  These 11’s were a bit different than normal.  We bear crawled to the 5 yard line where we did 10 Merkins and 1 Twisted Mountain Climber, bear crawling across the parking lot and continuing with the cadence: 9 Merkins – 2 TMCs, 8 Merkins – 3 TMCs and so on.

When we were done, we lined up at the “end zone” and sprinted to the 25 yard line, did 25 Merkins then sprinted back.  Then we sprinted to the 50 yard line and did 50 Squats, sprinted back and then sprinted to the 75 Yard Line and did 75 Mountain Climbers and then we ran out of time!

Then Westside took over and lead us to the ring road, where we did 20 Squats and lunge walked to the next light pole.  We had 60 seconds to do our 20 squats and lunge walk.  If we finished early, we were able to rest.  We did this for 10 minutes.

BoSox had the 3rd leg.  We moseyed over to the Grapes of Wrath.  We did 10’s – climbed to the top of the hill where we did 10 Star Jumps and then ran down and did 10 Derkins.  Rinse and repeat until 10 minutes was up.

NesQuik had the final leg of this 4 legged Q.  We moseyed over to the stairs in front of the middle School.  We did 11’s.  at the bottom of the stairs we did 10 Dips and then ran around to the top of the stairs where we did 1 V-Ups, then down the stairs  to do 9 Dips and around to the top for 2 V-Ups and so on.  When we were close to time, we all finished together by doing a set of 10 Dips in cadence.  Then we moseyed back to the flag and time expired.

It has been an honor to lead The Vineyard and stand on the shoulders of the HIMs that have gone before me.  Here’s to celebrating many more anniversaries!

COT

There were a few announcements: Blood drive on 9/15 is full, but there are still openings if you want to volunteer, The Speed for Need on 10/2, and the Adventure Race at Red Top Mountain on 10/30.  Prayers for BoSox’s uncle Dave Reynolds who is recovering from Covid and our F3 Brothers and their family down in Louisiana as they seek to rebuild and repair after the Hurricane.
