Tell Me Something About You That I Don’t Know!
Q had PAX circle up and count. Q failed to have PAX count off by 2’s. After this was done – Q then asked all
number 2s to drop their sandbags. Q explained that we are going to be passing sandbags from left to right –
and while doing that please tell the PAX something that we don’t know about you. YHC started and stated that
YHC was once on ABC Wide World of Sports and got interviewed by Lynn Swan and Geese by the Harlem Globetrotters
– but what YHC failed to mentioned is the game was in Hong Kong – Got the Video Somewhere – this would get a lot of
laughs for sure. This continued on until we came back to the Q. This was a warm up since the Q had some more fun
planned for the PAX!
Line up in Straight Line and Pass you Sandbag!
This next group of exercises is going to have 2 workout groups that will involve working together as a team.
Q had all the 1’s stay together and all the 2’s stay together.
WORKOUT 1
The object was to have a continued line of passing the sandbags from one member to the next with out stopping up to the end point (light post) and back. 5 sandbags were used for the group who had 8 PAX and 4 sandbags were used for the group who had 7 PAX. When Q said go – the group began passing the sandbags from right to left – the person at the end after getting rid of their sandbag had to move to the front of the line to keep it in motion. It was a bit confusing at first until everyone got the hang of it. Thanks for Stage Dive to bark out instructions and translate for the PAX – he has some previous experience of this before – and I thank him for his leadership.
While Group 1 was doing this Group 2 was doing the exercises that were written on the board together in cadence as the Q had instructed. When Group 1 completed this task Group 2 began theirs.
WORKOUT 2
Initially all 4 exercises were to be at a count to 100 – but Q soon realized that the PAX would not be able to get all this completed in time – so numbers were cut to 50 reps only.
50 sandbag overhead throws (in cadence)
50 sandbag rows (in cadence)
50 bench presses (in cadence)
50 sandbag copperhead squats (in cadence)
The beatdown ended with Q instructing the PAX to do another Indian Run back to the flag with their sandbag – we had enough time for 1 full rotation and had 1 minute to spare for some MARY.
Thank you men for letting me lead this morning!
We work out together!
We stay together!
We finish together!
We get stronger together!
SYITG!
