This was day 4 of my 7 day anniversary celebration – aka “Hell Week”. I was ready to quit after Tuesday’s Beatdown!

We had a short mosey to the opposite side of the parking lot where a beautiful, dew glistened tractor tire was waiting for us.  There was a slight detour to the Raccoon wall for a quick raccoon crawl.  After a brief warmup of this, that and the other, we got to work.

Tire flipping, Bernie Sanders Indian Run.  Exactly what you think it is.  In a line behind the tire, all 275(ish) pounds theof abused rubber, we, in turn each flipped the tire 3 times.  After the third time you Bernie Sanders to the back of the line (that’s right, the back), once at the end of the line you would perform 5 reps of an exercise.  The exercises, one at a time, were merkins, squats, American hammers, Carolina dry docks, imperial squat walkers (thanks to the Sitch) and crunchy frogs.

After the second round YHC realized that there was some downtime and our heart rates weren’t getting challenged enough. Thinking quickly, I added in a sprint to the opposite side of the lot and back. Problem solved.  About every two rounds we did a sprint.

We made around the parking lot 1.5 times and ended with a group effort getting the tire back in my truck. COT, prayers and coffee.  This was the actual day of my 2 year anniversary at F3.  As I shared throughout the week, F3 quickly became more than a workout group for me.  There is a certain bond that happens with other men as you do stupid things together, bleed together, and pray for each other. This is what F3 is for me.  It’s acquaintances that become friendships, friendships that become brothers, and brothers that are now apart of your forever family. Closer than bio-family at times.  Men that are tough as nails, serving our community, each other, our families and our Savior.  That’s F3 Cherokee!!
