It seems YHC was pretty excited about his VQ. During the warm-up Mosey, I almost lapped the field. After reading off all the important disclaimers from my handy-dandy (laminated) winkie, we went right into imperial walkers, weed pickers and Michael Phelps.

THE THANG

They say you should always have too much material for you first Q. I took that message to heart:

100 big boys

150 murkins

200 squats

250 tricep dips

300 LBC’s

350 2-count flutters

400 AL prom dates (not sure anybody got to these)

A Dory workout, the off partner ran a lap around the parking islands while the on partner counted reps (cumulative count). Lest this sound like pure drudgery, we saved 5 minutes at the end for ten consecutive 10 second sprints with 20 seconds rest. This is where the grumbling really started. I had planned 1-2 minutes of Merry but we finished sprinting right on time.

A highlight for YHC was the exquisitely curated playlist (beginning with Clapton and ending with The Boss) and finding out that @Trill is a Rum drinker. Also, @Nesquick was alerted by his watch that he was having a medical emergency during the sprints. Good times.

The overall level of mumblechatter was low. I have 3 theories as to why: 1. the workout was gutwrenching, 2. it was Monday, 3. they were all whispering behind my back.

We ended with the COT, where 6th man @Mouth-to-mouth shared about his family and work. We prayed for his knee health and healing, along with @GoDaddy’s family and wisdom in their relationship with his mother-in-law.

Overall, it was a fun VQ and I’m hopeful the PAX hated and loved it. Thank you for allowing me to lead and for constant encouragement these last couple months.
