QSource BD under Lead Right – 5 C’s:
Warmups, run to gazebo and back
CANDOR: Partner up, go to bottom of the hills behind the clubhouse. P1 bear crawls with their eyes closed, P2 lunge walks beside them guiding them to the hill and up. Switch and go to the next hill. “Only hard truth requires Candor.” Don’t let your brother slip or do things halfway when you could use candor to steer them back to where they need to be. Lexi used Candor to tell me how much of an idiot I am.

COMMITMENT: Circle up. Take turns doing the cadence for 6 burpees each, every PAX drops on your count. 102 total, 17 PAX. “Loyalty requires the abandonment of self.” Be loyal to your group and your group’s mission. We suffered together and pushed through the pain to accomplish the goal of 100 burpees and added 2 just because we are badasses, lol.

CONSISTENCY: Go the top of hill #1. 11s on the hill. All merkins, which delighted everyone. 132 merkins later… “simplicity is the foundation for Consistency.” So, we kept it simple. Habits are best formed in simplistic ways, not overly complicating everything. Lead others through simplicity and clarity.

CONTENTMENT: Circle up and plank up. PAX take turns for 8 minutes chest passing sandbag across the field while the rest find joy in planking. Change the plank every time a PAX completes their turn. Didn’t get through the whole group. “Joy is the stainless steel of the soul.” Having joy through all of life’s circumstances allows us to lead well and keep our composure while doing so.

COURAGE: Run to the bottom of the 3 hills. Sprints up all 3 to the clubhouse then back down. Rinse and repeat until time. “Fear is a natural state that can and must be governed.” Do hard things. “No man can set aside fear with his hands on his knees, his head down and his lungs on fire.” Overcome your Jester, discipline your Queen, embrace your King so that you can Courageously Live Third and serve others. Kipling describes it like this:
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you.
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don’t give away to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise;
…Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And-which is more-you’ll be a Man, my son!”

“Be a servant whose life is a beacon of Truth and Wisdom”
Be a HIM in F3…

Love you all, thanks for pushing me and allowing me to lead with you.
