The BackBlast:

Intro: A few hearty souls showed up in spite of many folks being on winter break somewhere warm and sunny.

Warm-o-Rama: Mosey over to the ES parking lot for the usual: SSH, slooooow Weed Pickers, Imperial Walkers, Mt. Map Poopers ( once YHC figured out how to count them), Sun Gods, Michael Phelps

The Thang: YHC whipped out the trusty pentagonal trapezohedron (Google that) and gave following instruction:  PAX will take turns rolling the die in two locations on opposite sides of the ES whatever exercise/reps is rolled the group will complete then group rolls again on other side of school and adds 5 reps.  Pax will run as a group between two locations playing “hot potato” with the pentagonal trapezohedron.  If anyone drops it, all PAX stop and do a 5 Merkin penalty.

First roll gave us 15 Star Jump Burpees and then away we went, tossing like somebody pulled the pin on a hand grenade.  Can’t remember who dropped it first but percentage-wise it was probably @Snot Rocket who was allegedly having a wardrobe malfunction with his gloves most of the BD.  Second roll gave us 20 Star Jump Burpees at which point @Maaco and @Geek Squad contemplated tossing the die over the fence.  More hot potato and penalties ensued as we went round and round the ES which someone suggested was getting bigger every lap.  We never did make it around without some penalties even after we switched to 5 BB Situps per drop.

Highlights included @Skronk wowing us all with his pistol-squat apptitude, @Maaco trying to play wall-ball, general group butt-clenching every time someone tossed the die to @Snot Rocket, and stories of dropping acid in church parking lots. Last roll ended with 50 Mt. Climbers.

COT: YHC was 5th/6th Man, so I shared how I was named thanks to embarassing story; found out that @Skronk and I already knew each other from our 2.0s attending preschool together.  Since it was President’s Day we prayed for God’s leadership in our own lives and for our country and community.

Naked Man Moleskin: I always enjoy a BD, but this one was particularly fun. I’d like to use this format again with a larger group.  Thankful for the men of The Apex!
