I thought the answer was going to be ants in your coupon. So YHC just got back from a long weekend backpacking trip on the AT and the trail was still deeply present in my back, muscles and joints. But I had grabbed the Q last week and so there was nothing for it. To The Rock!
Warm-o-rama. Standard SSH, Weed Pickers, and Sun Gods.
The Thang. Grab some coupons and use a cowboy themed tabata timer for four sets (40 seconds, 30 seconds, 20 seconds x 2) of four exercises: Curls for Girls, Overhead Press, Merkins, Bent-over Row. Put the coupons back in their hiding spot and mosey to the track. One trip up the stadium stairs. Break the cowboy tabata back out for PAX suggested exercises: Box Cutters, WWII Sit Ups, Duck Walk, The Shoulder Press Thing With Your Butt In The Air That I Can’t Remember The Name of For The Third Time Today. Same reps and times as the first tabata. Nixed plan to sprint 1o0 yards down the track and mosey the rest of the 300 for another round of tabata b/c we were already out of time. Moseyed back to the flag for 1.5 minutes of Mary. Music brought to the PAX by the greatest backpacking soundtrack of all time: Eddie Vedder’s Into the Wild Soundtrack. Really pumped Viceroy up.
COT. Slow Burn was the 6th may. Prayers for his M home with all the chillens this summer. Prays for Measure Twice and Viceroy dealing with aging family member.
After finishing the backpacking trip with 5 up and down miles in the rain, YHC frankly would have loved to sleep in this morning. But, as always, now that the beatdown is over I’m glad I did it. Even got rid of some of the soreness from the trail. Grabbing a Q a head of time and for a day you know you might feel like skipping is a great way to push yourself and get stronger.
