Just two days ago it was 60 degrees in the gloom.  Today, 34 degrees with a 15 mile an hour wind up on The Apex.  So, YHC needed a way to warm us up and keep the blood flowing.  Good thing there’s a Burpee challenge this month…

Warm-a-rama:

Step 1: Fire up the insanely awesome 90’s Country playlist

Step 2: Mosey around a bit and burn through some SSHs, Weedpickers, Sun gods, and Michael Phelps.

The Thang:

Walls of Jericho: 7 reps of 7 exercises followed by a run around the parking lot.  Those 7 exercises were:

• Burpees
• Bonnie Blairs (Kodiak count)
• Burpees
• Diamond Merkins
• Burpees
• Pulsing Lunges (Kodiak count)
• Burpees

YHC had everyone partner up to promote some mumble chatter.  However, we were mostly sucking (cold) wind the whole time.  We ran about 2 miles and did 168 burpees.  Didn’t have enough time to get the 7th set in.  Turns out that many burpees take some time to knock out.

Wrapped up by heading back to the flag for some Mary and coffeeteria.

The Koi pond continues to grow!  He brought another FNG out today that we named Madoff.

YHC has been missing The Apex.  Love that this AO reached the problematic numbers point and I was able to a part of our expansion efforts to relieve some of that.  However, it was GREAT to be back with the men of The Apex this morning.  This was where I first posted in F3 and as a site Q myself now, I’m doing my best to build a culture like what I learned here.
